Working under the supervision of Dr. Yili (Kelly) Tang, the purpose of this position is to assist with the following research tasks with focus on developing artificial intelligence models (machine learning/deep learning/reinforcement learning) for time series and temporal spatial data predictions (e.g., parking predictions, demand predictions):

• Research literature review on spatial-temporal demand prediction (e.g., parking predictions) and artificial intelligence models (machine learning/deep learning models).
• Analyze and process time series data with Python; visualize and integrates data that communicates clear information and conclusions; support and initiate the development of artificial intelligence model such as ARIMA, RNN, LSTM, GNN and so on.
• Case study research including data analysis, technical program summaries, and strategy design
• technical report and manuscript editing and formatting, assistant in conference papers and technical reports

Position Requirements
Applications are required to have background with a preference for computer science, transportation, software or related discipline, and have:

• Interests in big data processing and urban transportation and traffic engineering
• Solid skills in programming languages, preferably python and/or java
• Work remote and complete tasks in a timely manner
• Experience in one or more of the following topics:

(1) course learning or project experience in transportation and traffic areas.
(2) time series data, temporal-spatial data analysis
(3) temporal-spatial predictions using artificial intelligence models Physical Demands Pay Grade As Per CUPE 5791 Research Salary Range As Per CUPE 5791 Research Status Term Work Hours
