The research associate will coordinate and oversee the research efforts among a group of local and external collaborators.The research associate will participate in the execution of both internal research projects, and with a project performed among a network of external collaborators.Main Responsibilities:- Formulating and synthesizing hydrogels to achieve specific rheological properties is required. Experience with nanoscale materials and degradable biopolymers in 3D cell culture is desired.- Design cell and molecular biology experiments for the perturbation and analysis of cells in 3D cell culture. Develop downstream analysis methodology (and associated SOPs) on isolated organoids and single cells for multi-omics, spectral, microscopy, using both spatially and temporally resolved analysis.-Coordinate, oversee, and participate in tissue and cell banking efforts with collaborating labs.- Participates in the execution of laboratory experiments, projects, and equipment operation,Responsible for administrative tasks of the laboratory (e.g. orders, inventory, safety and biological protocols),- Oversee lab infrastructure and equipment,- Create and maintains lab protocols (SOPs) for infrastructure, onboarding, and safety, etc.,- Support graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, undergraduates, and trainees from internal and collaborating labsQualifications:Ph.D. + 5 years research experienceExpertise in hydrogel synthesis, modification, and isolation of biological molecules (decellularized ECM, collagen, hyaluronic acid, alginates) from tissues is required.
