We are looking for an associate to join Lawson Lundell LLP's research and opinions group in the firm's Calgary office.
This collaborative group carries out complex legal research and analysis across all of the firm's practice areas, supporting colleagues representing clients in litigation and administrative/regulatory proceedings, as well as colleagues engaged in corporate, commercial and real estate transactions. Members of the group draft memoranda, submissions and factums, provide contract and statutory interpretation opinions, and are engaged in legal education/professional development activities within the firm.
Desired assets of candidates:
- Three-year call or greater
- Experience as a research lawyer, law clerk, legal academic or research assistant (at law school)
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Interest and enthusiasm for new and developing areas of law
