Landmark is looking for a Research Analyst to join our organization located in Calgary, Alberta or in Montreal, Quebec.

This role offers strong growth and learning potential, ideal for those interested in real estate urban planning or business. It's a great opportunity to build in-depth knowledge of Canada's commercial real estate markets during a time of dynamic growth.

The ideal candidate has exposure to data collection, analysis, visualization, and can clearly communicate research findings both verbally and in writing. You deliver high-quality, detail-oriented work and are well-versed in research methods.

Landmark serves a national client base and must always be able to provide services in both French and English. This position requires an excellent command of English, as the candidate will be responsible for daily communications and services primarily in English, as well as interacting with numerous stakeholders across Canada who communicate exclusively in English.



Role and Responsibility

Reporting to the Senior Research Analyst, the Research Analyst will play a pivotal role in driving regional and national research initiatives, with a strong emphasis on Western Canada. This role is responsible for maintaining high-quality datasets and delivering accurate, timely market intelligence tailored to the dynamics of Western Canada. The position is critical to organizing and analyzing real estate market data that informs strategic decisions for both internal teams and external clients.



Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive market research including trend analysis, competitive benchmarking, and site assessments. Monitor real estate market dynamics to provide timely and actionable insights. Prepare and distribute market reports, summaries, and research deliverables for internal teams and clients. Coordinate with internal teams, landlords, brokers, clients, government entities, and other industry professionals in to gather critical information. Perform financial benchmarking and assist in analyzing lease comparable, sale transactions, and investment valuations. Develop client-facing deliverables such as market reports, visual data representations, dashboards, and presentations. Perform ad-hoc research requests

What you bring to the team

A post-secondary degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Business, Urban Planning, or a related field. Up to 3 years of relevant experience in real estate, finance, or data analysis. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint. Strong analytical and research skills; ability to monitor trends, conduct site assessments, and track real estate developments across Canada. Accuracy and attention to detail when working with large datasets. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, client-ready reports and presentations. Organized, solutions-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. A proactive, independent self-starter who thrives in collaborative, cross-functional teams. Familiarity with real estate valuation methods, investment metrics, and market fundamentals. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is an asset.
