Responsable de la promotion des programmes et des relations communautaires pour le salon funeraire et/ou le cimetiere. Il s'agit d'un role hautement visible au sein de la communaute, qui exige de developper et de maintenir des relations avec les groupes religieux locaux/ministres, les fournisseurs de services geriatriques, les etablissements d'enseignement ainsi que d'autres leaders cles du milieu des affaires dans la communaute.

Responsible for promoting programs and community relationships for the funeral home and/or cemetery. Is a highly visible role in the community and is required to develop and maintain relationships with local religious groups/ministers, geriatric service providers, educational institutions and other key Business Leaders within their community.

RESPONSABILITES DU POSTE



Promotion de la marque



Promouvoir la notoriete et l'image de la marque au sein de la communaute.

Relation communautaires



Etablir et maintenir des relations positives avec les organismes gouvernementaux locaux, les services d'application de la loi, les hopitaux, les chambres de commerce, ainsi qu'avec d'autres leaders cles de la communaute tels que les groupes de medecins et les cabinets juridiques locaux. Obtenir les adhesions approuvees et participer activement aux organisations communautaires selectionnees. Communiquer avec la direction afin d'assurer que toutes les initiatives de l'entreprise sont respectees et mises en oeuvre a travers la participation a des programmes publics et prives subventionnes. Presenter des seminaires educatifs, des conferences d'information publique et organiser des visites des installations du salon funeraire et/ou du cimetiere, en collaboration avec un directeur de funerailles autorise. Determiner et prioriser les programmes pour aines, les programmes scolaires, les programmes d'eglise et les activites locales les plus efficaces pour l'engagement communautaire. Developper un reseau au sein de la communaute afin d'aider la direction a reperer et recruter des candidats potentiels pour l'emploi. Controler les depenses conformement au budget et obtenir l'approbation de la direction avant tout debours.

Communication & Services public



Repondre aux demandes d'information concernant les services funeraires, la cremation et autres sujets connexes, en personne ou par telephone. Organiser des conferences et presentations publiques aupres des ecoles, colleges et organismes religieux. Assister occasionnellement a la gestion et a la coordination des funerailles, des memoriaux ou autres ceremonies, a la demande des familles clientes ou de la direction.

Formation



Diplome d'etudes secondaires ou equivalent.

Experience



3 a 5 ans d'experience dans l'industrie des services funeraires. Une experience prealable en relations communautaires ou en organisation d'evenements est un atout. Une experience en service a la clientele ou en vente est requise.

CONNAISSANCES, COMPETENCES ET APTITUDES

La reussite d'un programme collegial ou technique en services funeraires ou en thanatologie est un atout. Excellentes competences en creation et gestion de relations interpersonnelles, incluant de fortes aptitudes en communication. Connaissance de base en informatique et des logiciels pertinents (un atout). Aptitude a resoudre des problemes. Capacite a effectuer plusieurs taches simultanement et a etablir des priorites. Professionnalisme et esprit d'equipe. Sensibilite aux defis vecus par les familles en deuil. Capacite a interagir avec des personnes de divers milieux culturels. Haut niveau de compassion et d'integrite.

Environnement de travail



Travail a l'interieur et a l'exterieur, peu importe la saison et les conditions meteorologiques. Deplacements locaux ou entre plusieurs sites requis. Tenue professionnelle exigee.

Postures de travail



Periodes frequentes et prolongees en position debout, jusqu'a 6 heures par jour. Position assise prolongee, jusqu'a 6 heures par jour. Monter des escaliers frequemment pour acceder aux batiments.

Efforts physiques necessitant de la dexterite manuelle (incluant redaction, calculatrices, ordinateurs et utilisation du telephone).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES



Promote brand awareness



Establishes and maintain positive relations with local government agencies, law enforcement agencies, hospitals and Chambers of Commerce as well as other key business leaders with the community such as physicians groups and local law firms. Acquires approved memberships and participates actively in selected community organizations. Communicate with management to ensure all company initiatives are followed and conveyed through the involvement of both public and private sponsored programs Presents educational seminars, public information speaking engagements, tours of funeral home and/or cemetery facilities, in cooperation with a licensed funeral director. Determines and prioritizes which senior citizen programs, school programs, church programs, local activities are the best forms of community involvement. Network within the community to assist management in locating and recruiting potential candidates for employment. Communicate with management to ensure all company initiatives are followed and conveyed through the involvement of both public and private sponsored programs Controls expenditures in line with budget and have all expenditures approved by management before disbursement Responds to requests for information on funeral and cremation information and other related topics at the location or via telephone Arranges public speaking engagements with local schools, colleges, and religious organizations. Occasionally assists with management and leadership of funeral, memorial and other services or ceremonies as requested by funeral home clients and management

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS



Education



High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience



3-5 years experience in Funeral Services Industry Previous experience working in a community relations/event organizing role is preferred Previous customer service and/or sales experience is required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



Completion of a diploma training program at a college or technical school specializing in funeral service or mortuary science is an asset Relationship building and management skills including above average communication skills Knowledge of computer and some software would be an asset. Problem solving skills Ability to multi task and set priorities Professional and team player Sensitivity to challenges faced by grieving families Ability to relate well with people of diverse backgrounds High level of compassion and integrity
