Background Information

The

Photo Comparison Technology (PCT) Project

is responsible for implementing a new photo comparison solution that integrates with existing systems while phasing out previous vendors. This involves planning, IT system development, testing, business process adjustments, training, and system decommissioning.

A key component of this initiative is ensuring that existing

reporting capabilities

continue to meet business requirements as new technologies are adopted.

Role Overview

The

Software Developer

will design, develop, and maintain reporting and integration components to support the transition to the new photo comparison technology. The successful candidate will work closely with technical teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable, and well-documented solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain

web-based user interfaces

that integrate with PCT systems. Develop and maintain

WebFocus reports

, drilldown reports, and portals. Develop and optimize

Java-based applications

using modern frameworks and libraries. Design and write complex

SQL scripts

, stored procedures, and functions for data extraction and transformation. Participate in

system integration

, testing, and deployment activities. Provide

knowledge transfer

sessions and detailed documentation for technical staff. Collaborate with business teams to ensure solutions align with functional and reporting requirements.

Required Skills and Experience

5+ years

of experience developing

large-scale business applications

.

5+ years

of experience in

WebFocus report development

(FEX language, drilldowns, and portal development).

5+ years

of experience in

Java development

using modern frameworks and tools (e.g., Eclipse, Maven).

5+ years

of experience in

SQL development

, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, and working with Oracle, Synapse, or other RDBMS platforms. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Strong business acumen and ability to collaborate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.

Deliverables

Fully functional and well-documented

web UI code

with unit and automated test coverage. WebFocus reports and portals meeting updated business needs. Java and SQL components that support integration with the new photo comparison system. Technical documentation and knowledge transfer materials.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: From $50.00 per hour
