Repair Estimator

Job Description
Reporting directly to the Service Director, the Service Estimator is responsible for managing calls for tenders and project estimation, including the preparation, analysis, and follow-up of bids, as well as handling certain billing-related issues. The role also includes providing technical support to clients.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates for parts, equipment, and labor required for repair and maintenance services Develop and submit competitive bids to clients in a timely manner Liaise effectively with property owners, managers, and contractors to ensure clear communication and project alignment Identify and propose alternative solutions to original parts when necessary Maintain up-to-date directories of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors Collaborate with subcontractors to provide clients with comprehensive repair cost
estimates, when applicable
Monitor and follow up on all quotations to secure client approval Generate repair work orders as needed to initiate service delivery Ensure all submitted repair quotes are followed up within 48 hours to maintain service efficiency
Candidate Profile
Relevant education or equivalent professional experience Minimum of 3 years of sales experience, preferably in a related industry Valid driver's license Strong computer skills and proficiency with relevant software Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills Mechanical or electrical aptitude and/or knowledge of combustion engines is considered an asset Availability to work during power outages or in the event of a government-declared emergency
