Position Summary:

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Entry-Level Rental Technician to join our growing team in Grande prairie, AB. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in the communications and technology industry. You'll be part of a hands-on environment, supporting the preparation, testing, and maintenance of rental equipment used in field operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Program, troubleshoot, and maintain Starlink, voice radios, Wi-Fi systems, phones, cellular repeaters, and associated infrastructure (e.g., Starlink Head Ends, Remote PWUs, and radio code plugs). Prepare, test, clean, and organize rental equipment to ensure operational readiness and functionality. Create and manage rental work orders, document equipment conditions, and provide post-rental support as needed. Collaborate with the Network Operations Centre (NOC) to ensure systems are up-to-date and deployment ready. Ensure equipment and inventory are properly labeled, stored, maintained, and kept organized and stocked. Support general shop operations by stocking parts, performing basic data entry, and assisting with documentation. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including garbage and recycling duties.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. No previous experience required--training will be provided. Interest in technology and communications equipment is an asset. Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn. Basic computer and data entry skills. Ability to work in a physically active environment and lift/carry equipment as needed. Comfortable working in a fast-paced team setting.

What Do We Have to Offer?

Hourly rate: $18.00 - $25.00/hour - Compensation is based on a combination of experience and education. Schedule: Monday to Friday Extended health and dental benefits for you and your family, available after a 90-day probationary period. RRSP matching program after 1 year of continuous employment.
