GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:




The Lamination Technician is a entry level position responsible for performing duties in all production areas to meet production goals. This level performs basic repetitive tasks following established Company procedures. Decisions are reviewed and made in conjunction with senior personnel.

NATURE & SCOPE OF POSITION:



The Lamination Technician reports directly to the Lead Production Technician and indirectly to the Senior Lead Production Technician. The Lamination Technician has no direct reports. This is an hourly, non-exempt position, which qualifies for approved overtime in accordance with the Alberta Labour Standards Act

ours of work: Monday - Friday, 12:15am - 8:15am.


POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:



Operate lamination unit according to Standard Operating Procedures Manufacture product in accordance with customer specifications Heat set woven and finished material in accordance with customer specifications Pre-use inspection of lamination unit prior to operation Label and package finished product Enter production write offs, bin transfers & inventory in Panatrack Operate sewing/serging machines Follow 5 Six Sigma requirements When quality issues identified, inspect and remove defective product, inform Team Lead of any issues Maintain written communication with other lamination operators Clean & sanitize before and after shift Attend meetings and training sessions Identify lamination machinery malfunction and communicate to maintenance coordinator Record any maintenance issues on the Think Safety APP Participate in inventory counts and preparation Fill out daily production paperwork, follow NCR processes and fill out paperwork accordingly + Follow all safety procedures and policies
+ Undergo hearing test within first month of employment

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:



Grade 12 or GED and basic math skills Good written and spoken English Reference check - 2 contacts Previous production experience is an asset
