Job Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate project cost estimates, analyzing project plans and specifications, and collaborating with project teams to ensure successful project execution. This role requires strong skills in construction estimating, pricing, and project management, with proficiency in industry-standard tools such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid. The Construction Estimator will play a vital role in securing new projects and maintaining competitive bidding processes, contributing to the overall success of our construction operations.

Responsibilities



Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to develop comprehensive cost estimates. Prepare detailed bid proposals by calculating labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs. Utilize Bluebeam and HeavyBid software to create accurate estimates and manage bid documentation efficiently. Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure favorable pricing and terms. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure estimates align with project scope and budget constraints. Assist in the development of project schedules and resource planning. Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and pricing fluctuations to maintain competitive edge. Support project management teams during project execution by providing cost control insights.

Qualifications



Proven experience in construction estimating, with a strong understanding of construction processes and terminology. Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu, HeavyBid, and other estimating or project management software. Excellent negotiation skills to secure optimal pricing from vendors and subcontractors. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex plans and specifications accurately. Effective communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external partners. Knowledge of construction safety standards, building codes, and industry regulations is preferred. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
