The Design Den is a full service design and construction company based out of North Vancouver. Family owned and operated, we are a boutique style firm built on People and Quality first mentality.

We have two parts to our service business:

1. Interior Design - In-house full time design team focussing specifically on our build projects and our furnishing/decorating projects. This is where all our projects begin as we dream up and design out all of our custom tailored projects which our construction division will later build.

2. Construction - The execution side of our beautiful designs. We fully implement from concept to completion. We specialize in residential construction, mainly of detached homes. Renovations are our main service. A full home remodel is our most common project but we tackle projects of all sizes. Involving transforming floor plans, kitchen and bathroom overhauls, additions, exterior updates to doors, windows, decks, fences etc. From framing to finish, we execute our detailed projects with our great professionally skilled team.

Job description

The Design Den Homes Inc. is currently seeking a skilled, experirenced carpenter to join our team. We are looking for an individual who is positive, reliable, energetic, honest, and who enjoy working individually as well as collaboratively with our team. Passion for your trade, and a strong desire to build quality work is essential.

We are needing an individual who can execute a wide range of renovation skills immediately, not requiring training or technical support on how to accomplish renovation tasks with a high level of detail and quality.

The Carpenter will work on all the tasks required in executing the build of our projects from demo to finish. The Carpenter will work alongside our main Lead Carpenter, other Carpenters, and our General Contractor / Design Team.

Key duties and responsibilities will include, but not limited to,

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Tasks to include everything related in a renovation or new construction project. This includes, but is not limited to, Demo, clean up, Framing, Drywall, Waterproofing, Finish carpentry, ordering materials, site duties etc. Work with our Design Team to implement the project goals. Work with our dedicated team of Sub-Trades to help facilitate their site requirements. A positive mind frame and outlook is required. Be reliable, accountable and consistent. Be prepared to work hard but have fun while we work. Be a team player, but also be willing and able to self-start and work independently. Learning and growth: be open to developing and growing your skillset and knowledge daily, weekly, annually. YOU: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Red Seal Carpenter Ticket is required. Have hands on experience in renovation and/or new construction work from frame to finish. 3+ years Read, understand and interpret plans Excellent verbal and written communication skills Detail oriented, proactive, and self-starter. Full Driving Licence
COMPENSATION & HOURS:

starting at $32 - $42 / Hourly depending on experience. Steady, consistent, full time employment. Typically, 40+ hours per week. Birthdays - Paid day off
