This position is on call.

Typical duties include:

Ordering, receiving and storing food and supplies required for Breakfast and Lunch, respecting students' food allergies and other restrictions to ensure their safety. Working successfully as a member of a team and independently, depending on the task. Following established procedures to ensure food safety and economy. Maintaining basic records using established forms. Monitoring food quality, quantity, temperature and food safety Lifting and carrying food containers, reaching, bending and twisting to pack meals for distribution, load the dishwasher, etc. Identifying food safety issues that might jeopardize student safety Obtaining clarification about students' food restrictions to ensure student safety. Maintaining positive relationships with students, parents and staff.

Job Requirements

:


Valid Food Safe I certification. At least 1 year recent related experience in a fast paced institutional food services environment. Basic food preparation and serving skills. Able to speak, read and write clearly in English. Good arithmetic skills. Able to use Microsoft Outlook (email). Must have a valid BC Driver's License.
