Our Team: The Reliability team is integral to the success of the operation in becoming a safe, predictable, and reliable producer. The Opportunity We are currently seeking a Reliability Engineer to join our Reliability team in Sudbury, Ontario. This is a permanent position. The Reliability Engineer is responsible for delivering improved performance of the assets by implementing and optimizing the reliability programs. In this role you will:

  • Work cross functionally in the implementation of a reliability program, which encompasses systems, processes, procedures, standards, KPIs, analysis and tools that will maximize business value for fixed and mobile assets.
  • Identify and address asset reliability issues in the operations ensuring best practices for asset uptime are standardized and shared across the business.
  • Work to ensure compliance to the reliability program and that asset reliability risks are identified and mitigated.
  • Provide recommendations on strategic investment in equipment, technology, and initiatives to optimize asset value.
  • Collaborate with management teams and key stakeholders in development of budgets as well as production and shutdown plans.
  • Develop the Asset Strategy by identifying asset criticality to the business, setting service strategy based on performance required, and driving reliability and cost-effective lifecycle management using tools like Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) and Failure Modes Effects Analyses (FMEAs).
  • Perform reliability studies and root cause analyses to determine reliability of components, equipment, and processes.
  • Works with site representatives in Operations, Maintenance and Project teams to determine the appropriate operating standards and mix of preventative and predictive tasks required to optimize the reliable output of the assets.
About You Education:
  • Undergraduate degree required. (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Civil/Structural) Required certification in P. Eng.
  • Reliability or Maintenance Management designations are preferred
Experience:
  • 3 years min in a reliability or maintenance related role.
  • Other combinations of education and experience in Maintenance and Reliability will be considered.
Skills:
  • Experience with Reliability tools (FMEA, Criticality analysis, etc.), developing asset service strategies and managing metrics such as availability, utilization, OEE, MTBF in a mining or industrial environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, planning, organizational and time management skills.
  • Software skills in of MS Office products and CMMS systems (SAP).
