A leader in the Maritime Forest Products Industry, the Doaktown Sawmill is currently seeking a motivated individual to fill the position of Reliability Engineer.

The Job:

As the Reliability Engineer, your primary responsibilities are to optimize the maintenance and performance of our site equipment and to always approach every task with a safety-first mindset. The ideal candidate for this position will understand that though this position will operate primarily on a regular 5-day workweek, there may be times when weekend and evening work is required.

Some key responsibilities for this role will include:

• Improve on current site preventative reliability maintenance program
• Implement site equipment inspection process using DMSI tool
• Improve current site lube program
• Develop and implement vibration analysis program
• Monitor weekly schedule performance and respond to schedule gaps
• Participate and lead initiatives for equipment and site improvement projects
• Support new equipment purchasing decisions from a PM planning and reliability perspective
• Ensure equipment bill of materials are current and up to date in PM system
• Identify training needs and develop plans to improve mechanical skills for our skilled trades workforce
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to plan the weekly and monthly maintenance schedule
• Implement root cause analysis program
• Utilize equipment productivity data to determine maintenance area of focus
• Review weekly allocation of all Maintenance/Facilities assets to ensure full utilization

The Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this role will have mechanical knowledge of production and manufacturing equipment, experience prioritizing competing demands, and strong organizational skills. This position will be filled by a person who has a self-starter mentality, a drive to persevere through complex problems, and a passion for leading change.

Education, certifications, and experience required:

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Certification in Mechanical Engineering
• 1-5 years of related experience

Education, certifications, and experience considered an asset:

• Lean Six Sigma certifications
• Microsoft Office experience
• JD Edwards E1 experience
