About the Opportunity
Under the direction of the Manager, or delegate, and under the supervision of therapists, the Rehabilitation Assistant, as an active member of the patient care team, works with individuals, families and groups to help educate and promote movement, occupation, and function. Working collaboratively with their team, the Rehabilitation Assistant is responsible for the safe and proficient delivery of activities that have been assigned by the therapists for patients coping with limitations in movement and daily function. They help enable clients to meet their expected outcomes by contributing to the implementation and to the modification of rehab programs and services. The Rehabilitation Assistant also checks and cleans equipment, performs administrative duties, maintains treatment and storage areas and may order necessary supplies.
