What\'s the job?
As the Regulatory Compliance Manager, Regulatory Developments and member of the Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) Team, you will contribute to the execution of Coast Capital\'s RCM Program, facilitate business units navigating regulatory changes and ensure operational processes and procedures adhere to regulatory obligations. This role includes continuously monitoring new regulatory developments and other ongoing changes to the regulatory landscape, managing the regulatory library/ inventory of all applicable governing legislation and controls and detecting non-compliance instances, including assessing the materiality of applicable regulatory requirements.

What else will you get to do?

  • Identifies, monitors and maintains emerging/changing/new legislation emerging legislation, as well as existing legislation with which Coast Capital must comply
  • Analyzes industry emerging trends, laws, and regulations, including review & analysis of regulatory announcements, reports, and legislative changes (e.g. regulatory consultations, proposed guidance, new regulations\xe2\x80\xa6)
  • Develops, manages and maintains the listing of all regulatory requirements to which Coast Capital is subject.
  • Delivers preliminary applicability assessment and quantifies the potential impact(s)
  • Facilitates Coast Capital\'s Business Units to navigate regulatory changes by notifying and communicating with the impacted stakeholders by ensuring that regulatory developments are identified, assessed, and actioned.
  • Collaborates and interacts with leadership and key stakeholders at all levels to build a compliance culture on regulatory compliance processes and tools.
  • Contributes to the regulatory library\'s continuous improvement, supporting the Regulatory Compliance Management Framework (RCMF).
  • Lead, implement, manage and maintain all modules of the primary online regulatory library by making required changes and communicating these changes to the affected owners.
  • Acts as the main point of contact for the Oversight Functions that also access/utilize the regulatory library
Who are we looking for?
  • Bachelor\'s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 4 - 6 years of experience interpreting regulations within a Bank or Federally Regulated Credit Union is preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of legislation and regulations impacting Federal Credit Unions and Banks
  • Knowledge of financial products and services
  • Excellent ability to analyze, interpret, synthesize, simplify and communicate complex legislative and regulatory requirements
  • Strong project management skills with a proven track record of success with regulatory compliance and technology-based compliance projects
  • Experience with technology monitoring systems, willingness to learn and use other technology monitoring systems
  • Comfortable dealing with individuals at all levels of the Bank
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong ability to handle complex issues and a high-volume workload with varied time expectations
  • Detailed-oriented with multi-tasking, analytical, time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member
