YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Accountabilities will include:

  • Ensures safety is the first priority and that all activities are conducted in accordance with quality, health, safety and environmental management systems as well as corporate and local policies.

  • Support management of product information by entering data into supportive software systems deployed to support regulatory end-points.
  • Support fulfillment of obligatory government reporting such as, but not limited to, NPRI and CEPA S. 71 reporting.
  • Support projects following from regulatory changes and updates.
  • Support management of corporate compliance with regulations such as, but not limited to, CEPA regulations such as New Substances and Ozone Depleting Substances, plus TDG regulations for transport, plus controlled precursor chemicals and other regulations that may be identified from time to time.
  • Support management of the MSDS and label inventory for products on, and added to, and dropped from, the company's selling range, including activities such as creating MSDSs on the company's platform, soliciting vendor file information and coordinating French translation with the corporate translator.
  • Support establishment of new products on the company's selling range by ensuring the proper regulatory reviews have been executed, and obtaining, as appropriate, proper end-use approvals.
  • Support internal business groups with regulatory information and guidance.
  • Answer customer's regulatory queries, coordinating with vendors and other resources as necessary and practicable.
  • Within the scope of the job description, skill set and experience, provide back up and continuity in the department during absences, vacations.
YOUR PROFILE
  • University degree in Life Sciences (Preferably - Chemistry, Biology, or Toxicology)
Post Graduate Certificate - Regulatory Affairs
  • Prior experience in Regulatory Affairs (1+ years)
  • Good technical writing skills and the ability to review and critique safety, efficacy, and quality
  • Excellent interpersonal skill and organizational, time management, and communication skills are essential
  • Strong team player, results-driven, multi-tasker who requires minimal supervision and has the ability to work with multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Competent understanding of environmental and occupational health and safety regulations
  • Experience with SAP enterprise system an asset.
  • Experience with varied other regulations an asset.
