The Position
The successful candidate must be a self-directed team player who is interested in working primarily one-on-one with complex needs children. Hours of work are 7.25 hours per day, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, following the school calendar. Duties are to commence as soon as possible and will end June 25, 2026.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience supporting students with developmental delays
Experience supporting students with behavior difficulties
Independence to work one-on-one with students in kindergarten
Preference will be given to applicants with an understanding of childhood development
A clear understanding of the roles and responsibilities of a program assistant
Good at building a rapport and presenting a non-judgmental attitude
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students and adults
Able to work as a member of the school team
A positive addition to our instructional team
Enthusiastic and motivated to help students succeed
Ability to work in a flexible learning environment
First aid would be an asset
