The Organization



The Alberta College of Dental Hygienists (ACDH) is the professional regulatory body for Alberta's over 4000 Registered Dental Hygienists. Created under the Health Professions Act (HPA), our mandate is to ensure Alberta dental hygienists have the knowledge, skills, attitude, and judgment to provide safe, effective, ethical, and competent oral healthcare to Albertans.

A regulatory college's job is to protect the public from unsafe practice and hold members of the profession accountable for the care they provide. Colleges ensure that Albertans are provided with safe, high quality care by professionals who adhere to the highest standards and ethical conduct.

The Opportunity



The Registration Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the

registration, renewal, and program approval and review processes in alignment with

legislative requirements, regulatory best practices, and the College's policies for the profession of Dental Hygiene. This role ensures efficiency, fairness, and transparency in registration-related activities while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

The Registration Manager has a number of key responsibilities, and they include the overall leadership of the registration team, policy development and compliance, registration and renewal administration, program approval and reviews, substantial equivalence reviews, and competency development.

Have you worked in a field that requires review of academic criteria and/or experience for professionals, or have you led complex administration processes that require a high level of judgement, policy development, and application. Does working collaboratively with others appeal to you and can you thrive in an environment where you will be required to deliver complex and sometimes difficult decisions? Does your past experience demonstrate your ability to be discreet and empathetic when dealing with difficult complex issues that affect others? Do you enjoy motivating a team and is your leadership collaborative and focused on achieving timely results?

As the ideal candidate you will have a related degree in business administration, health sciences, public administration, regulatory affairs, or law. A graduate degree will be considered an asset.

Your experience will demonstrate a minimum of 3 to 5 years of administrative leadership that demonstrates the ability to oversee complex issues in a policy or regulatory or registration and renewal environment, preferably in health regulation. Relevant work experience in a post-secondary education setting would be considered an asset.

You will also possess superior planning, organizational, problem solving, analytical, and time management skills. Supervisory experience in leading projects or a team is a strong asset. High proficiency in MS office is required combined with database management experience.

Pay: $105,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
