We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. Duties
Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
Perform laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and cytology.
Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian.
Monitor animal patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
Provide client education on pet care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sterilization of instruments and equipment.
Assist with the handling and restraint of animals for examinations or treatments.
Skills
Proficiency in laboratory techniques and procedures is essential.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping.
Compassionate approach towards animal care and welfare.
Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures is preferred.
