Job Description

Westland Veterinary Hospital is looking to add another full time RVT to our staff! We are an independent and locally owned small animal general practice in SW Calgary. Our recently expanded facility includes a full in-house IDEXX laboratory, digital radiographs, a dedicated dental suite, ultrasound, therapeutic laser, and an underwater rehabilitation treadmill. Our established team understand the struggles in the veterinary industry and we care deeply about the mental health and work/life balance of all our employees. Job Duties:

Administer and monitor anesthesia and analgesia during surgical procedures Perform comprehensive dental assessments and cleaning under anesthesia Administer injections, medications, treatments, and supportive care as directed Perform sample collection including venipuncture and cystocentesis, take diagnostic radiographs, and utilize our in-house laboratory Fill prescriptions for patients as directed Client care and education

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, Two week alternating schedule of 8:30-4:30/9:00-5:00 Rotating Saturdays 9:00-1:00 (approximately once every 5-6 weeks) with the following Monday off.
