Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to animals while supporting veterinarians in clinical settings. This position requires a strong understanding of veterinary practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Assist veterinarians during examinations and or surgical procedures Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian Monitor the health and behavior of animals during their stay at the clinic Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and organized Educate pet owners on proper care, nutrition, and preventive health measures Assist with the handling and restraint of animals for examinations or treatments Fill in on Reception where necessary

Qualifications

A degree or certification in Veterinary Technology is preferred Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital is highly desirable Strong laboratory skills, including familiarity with diagnostic equipment and procedures Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
