Job Description


REGISTERED RESPIRATORY THERAPIST We currently require a Registered Respiratory Therapist who will complement our teams in PFT, Sleep and Home Oxygen. In this position you will work at multiple Careica Health locations within Calgary and immediate surrounding areas. This is a part-time position and will require a commitment to an on-call rotation.
Careica Health’s RRTs are highly skilled healthcare professionals who evaluate, treat and maintain a client's cardiopulmonary function as part of the healthcare team. They educate and equip clients with the tools they need for successful therapy, while monitoring to ensure effective treatment. Our RRTs find great satisfaction in developing long-term relationships with clients, something that is often not possible in hospital environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform assessment, treatment set-up/education, ongoing therapy and support for clients on CPAP therapy
  • Provide CPAP interface fittings, troubleshooting and equipment support to clients
  • Perform oxygen assessments, document/communicate findings and make recommendations to the appropriate healthcare providers
  • Work in our Pulmonary Function Laboratory providing diagnostic testing on patients referred to our laboratory
  • Procure and analyze arterial blood gas samples

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy (registered with CARTA)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License
  • Ability to travel to client homes within Calgary and surrounding communities

THE DETAILS This is a part-time permanent position working 18.75 hours per week (as well as on-call):
