Responsibilities of our Registered Psychotherapist include:
Provide virtual one-on-one psychotherapy sessions for individuals and/or couples during pregnancy and postpartum
Support clients experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs), birth trauma, fertility-related challenges, grief/loss, and other transitions
Deliver group workshops or therapy programs related to mental health, resilience, and emotional well-being
Contribute to the development of educational resources and digital content for parents
Maintain accurate documentation and meet regulatory standards for ethical and professional practice
Collaborate with other PUSH Mama Care providers to ensure integrated, client-centered care
We require experience including:
Master's degree in Counselling Psychology or equivalent
Registration in good standing with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO)
Professional liability insurance coverage
1-3 years of clinical experience, ideally with perinatal or family populations
Training in perinatal mental health interventions (such as Postpartum Support International trainings, CBT, ACT, or trauma-informed approaches) strongly preferred
The ideal candidate will have:
In-depth understanding of perinatal mental health, attachment theory, and family systems
Experience supporting clients through postpartum depression, anxiety, and adjustment to parenthood
Ability to work from a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and inclusive perspective
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to build trust and rapport with clients
Strong clinical reasoning and critical-thinking skills
Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development
Flexibility and ability to adapt/prioritize in a constantly changing environment
Empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental approach to care
