Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Position Overview
You will provide culturally responsive, trauma?informed psychotherapy to adults, couples, and families experiencing complex stressors, displacement?related challenges, or other vulnerabilities. Working under CRPO supervision, you'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver wrap?around, holistic care.
Key Responsibilities
Complete thorough biopsychosocial assessments to clarify clients' strengths, needs, and goals--particularly for those who have experienced trauma, loss, or systemic inequities.
Design and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence?based modalities (CBT, DBT, EFT, EMDR) with a trauma?informed lens.
Provide short? and longer?term psychotherapy that emphasizes safety, stabilization, and empowerment.
Maintain high?quality documentation that meets all CRPO and privacy legislation requirements.
Liaise with community resources, medical providers, and settlement services to support continuity of care.
Engage in regular supervision, case consultations, and professional development to refine clinical skills for working with vulnerable populations.
Uphold ethical, legal, and professional standards at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
: Master's degree in Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related discipline.
Registration
: Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) in good standing with the CRPO (or equivalent).
Experience
: Clinical experience supporting individuals from culturally diverse and/or socio?economically marginalized backgrounds.
Languages
:
Fluency in English and Farsi is required.
Skills
:
Competence in trauma?focused and culturally sensitive interventions.
Strong crisis?management, safety?planning, and advocacy skills.
Excellent communication, rapport?building, and documentation abilities.
Proficiency with electronic medical records and virtual therapy platforms.
