Job Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychotherapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing therapeutic support to children and adolescents, with a focus on enhancing their emotional and psychological well-being. This role requires a professional who is skilled in case management, patient care, and has experience working within hospital settings. The Psychotherapist will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions tailored to each child's needs.

Duties



Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for children and adolescents to identify their mental health needs. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and collaborate with families to ensure effective implementation. Provide individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including data collection and documentation of treatment progress. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including pediatricians, special education staff, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care. Engage in case management activities to support patients' overall health and well-being. Stay informed about current research in pediatric psychology to enhance therapeutic practices. Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with healthcare providers and documenting patient interactions.

Qualifications



Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field. Valid licensure as a Psychotherapist or equivalent credential in the state of practice. Experience working with children in clinical settings; hospital experience is preferred. Knowledge of special education systems and how they intersect with mental health services. Strong skills in patient care, case management, and data collection methodologies. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to psychological practice. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with children and their families. A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in psychotherapy.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90.00-$100.00 per hour

Expected hours: 9 per week

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Toronto, ON M5V 3K8
