Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate therapist (Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Social Worker) to join our growing private practice team as an independent contractor. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with clients on issues related to disordered eating, body image, anxiety, depression and other mental health conditions. You will be responsible for providing high-quality, inclusive, empathetic therapy to clients, helping them navigate their mental health challenges and develop positive relationships with their bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group therapy sessions using a Health at Every Size (HAES) approach. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for clients dealing with disordered eating, body image issues, and other mental health concerns. Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive, holistic care for clients. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in accordance with professional standards and privacy regulations. Uphold strict confidentiality in dealing with client information and records. Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

Registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (MSW preferred) or College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (RP). Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience preferred.

Experience with diverse populations and a commitment to inclusive, culturally competent care.

Up to date professional liability insurance. Demonstrated experience working with clients on issues related to disordered eating, body image, and weight inclusivity. Strong commitment to the principles of HAES, Intuitive Eating and inclusive care. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Flexibility to accommodate clients' schedules, including evenings and weekends as needed. Must be available for in-person appointments at least once per week.

Bonus Qualifications:

Certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor Specialized training or certification in areas related to eating disorders, disordered eating and body image.

Pay: $90.00-$96.00 per hour
