We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychotherapist who is registered with College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) to join our team as we are expanding our companies here at the Lonsdale Community Campus at 1050 Lonsdale Avenue, Sudbury, ON. We are launching soon the first mental health walk-in clinic "PathWell Clinic" and a comprehensive long term psychotherapy services for individuals and families "Mindora". The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health care to individuals, families, and groups. This role involves assessing clients' needs, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions in a supportive and confidential environment. The Psychotherapist will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Duties
Conduct thorough assessments and diagnostic evaluations of clients to determine their mental health needs.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices, including cognitive behavioural therapy, crisis intervention, and motivational interviewing.
Provide psychotherapy services through various modalities such as individual counseling, group therapy, and family counseling.
Utilize techniques in behavioural therapy, art therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and dance therapy as appropriate for client needs.
Engage in crisis management and provide support for clients experiencing acute distress or crises.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for clients with developmental disabilities, PTSD, addiction issues, or chronic pain.
Participate in clinical research initiatives and data collection to contribute to the advancement of mental health practices.
Offer telehealth services to accommodate clients' needs for remote access to care.
Provide direct support and case management services to ensure continuity of care.
Experience
Candidates should possess a strong background in psychotherapy with experience in the following areas:
Child & family counseling
Working with children and adolescents
Crisis intervention strategies
Clinical counseling techniques
Group therapy facilitation
Patient assessment and care planning
Preferred qualifications include experience working with Indigenous peoples, francophones, immigrants, along with having experience working with special populations such as individuals with autism or developmental disabilities, as well as familiarity with geriatric care. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in managing diverse clinical situations while maintaining a compassionate approach towards client interactions.
