Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Psychologist or Registered Clinical Social Worker to join our team. This individual will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive assessments, evidence-based interventions, and advanced mental health counseling services. They will support individuals and families in accessing essential resources and navigating complex systems of care. The successful candidate will consistently apply a trauma-informed, culturally safe, and strength-based approach to all aspects of service delivery
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver evidence-based counseling services that incorporate and respect cultural healing practices, particularly in response to intergenerational trauma, crisis situations, and family dynamics.
Collaborate with Elders, Knowledge Keepers, families, and community members to align services with traditional ways of healing.
Work closely with other mental health professionals to provide holistic mental health services
Provide education and guidance to clients, families, and community members regarding their rights, available support, and wellness strategies.
Qualifications
:
Master's degree in Psychology or Social Work from a recognized post-secondary institution.
Registration with a provincial regulatory body.
Must be registered or eligible for registration with the Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) Program
.
Minimum of two years' experience working with Indigenous populations or in community-based settings (preferred).
Deep understanding of issues affecting Indigenous peoples, including intergenerational trauma, systemic barriers, and social determinants of health
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
