Registered Provisional/registered Psychologist (children)
Job Description
Family Counselling Centres is a dynamic group private practice with offices based out of Edmonton, Beaumont and Leduc. We are currently looking for a Registered Psychologist or Registered Provisional Psychologist to join our busy practice for part-time or full-time work at our Leduc office. In addition to traditional therapy, our clinic also specializes in play therapy and animal-assisted therapy (canine). The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience working with children and adolescents.
We are looking for practitioners who are currently registered with the College of Alberta Psychologists. We offer a competitive percentage split and are looking for someone long term to join our team. Applications will be accepted until a qualified candidate is found.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Experience working with children and parents*
Post-masters training in play therapy (or must be willing to complete training in play therapy within 6 months of hire through CAPT or RMPTI)*
Experience working with trauma and attachment issues*
Experience in private practice work and familiarity with "OWL Practice" for scheduling and record keeping is an asset*
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment*
Drive and ambition*
Self-starter*
Strong interest in networking and community outreach*
Liability/malpractice insurance*
In good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists*
Flexibility in terms of availability*
Experience conducting general assessments*
