Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Planner to join our growing team.
Responsibilities:
-Project/manage development applications through draft plan, environmental approvals, design, plan of subdivision, construction, etc. Collaborate with project teams to develop comprehensive plans and designs
- Prepare Planning Reports for development applications.
- Assist with the development of proposals, qualification documents and other business development related activities.
- Collate information from various sources, including communications with stakeholders, design and implement field programs to assess natural heritage features, Species at Risk (SAR), and other environmental considerations
- Assist in project management tasks including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
- Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Utilize GIS software to analyze spatial data and make informed planning decisions
Skills:
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to conduct thorough research
- Experience with GIS software
- Strong overall communication skills
- Ability to participate in and lead multi-disciplinary project teams
- Strong overall software aptitude
Qualifications and Experience:
- Professional qualification or designation preferred
- PMP designation would be seen as an asset
- Experience with environmental approvals considered an asset
- Overall municipal engineering exposure a benefit
