We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our healthcare team. As an RPN, you will play a vital role in supporting patients' health and well-being through effective nursing practices and collaboration with healthcare professionals.
Duties
Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, IV infusions, and performing medical procedures as required.
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs to evaluate patient conditions.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Assist in triaging patients and managing acute pain effectively.
Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients and families on health management, medication administration, and post-care instructions.
Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and provide emotional support during their healthcare journey.
Participate in infection control measures and ensure a safe environment for patients.
Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
Valid Registered Practical Nurse license in the state of practice.
Experience in critical care, long-term care, assisted living, or hospital settings is preferred.
Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks is highly desirable.
Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and basic life support techniques.
Familiarity with specialized areas such as geriatrics, pediatrics, hospice care, dementia care, or behavioral health is a plus.
Strong patient assessment skills with the ability to recognize changes in patient conditions promptly.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
