We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, with experience in various settings such as hospitals, long-term care facilities, and outpatient clinics. The RPN will play a crucial role in providing high-quality nursing care to patients of all ages, including those with complex medical needs. Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately in medical records.
Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in patient conditions promptly.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Assist in procedures such as IV infusion, catheterization, and wound care.
Educate patients and their families about health management, medications, and treatment plans.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of patient information.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to infection control protocols.
Support patients with developmental disabilities, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and other specialized needs.
Engage in case management activities to coordinate comprehensive care for patients.
Requirements
Valid Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) license.
Experience in acute care settings such as hospitals or urgent care facilities is preferred.
Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks.
Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and CPT coding is advantageous.
Strong clinical skills in areas such as triage, pain management, phlebotomy, medication administration, and vital sign monitoring.
Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, and individuals requiring hospice or home care services.
Ability to perform physical examinations and diagnostic evaluations effectively.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
