Our medical office is recruiting for a full-time Nurse to join our growing high-performance team for a full time, permanent position. We are seeking an experienced and client focused professional with a great attitude who can work independently and as part of a team.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Training in plastic or dermatology nursing a plus
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMNETS:
1-5 years nursing experience, preferably in a Plastic Surgery and/or Dermatology office
Certification in BCLS and ACLS
Comfortable using email and interacting with Internet applications
Knowledge of practice management and word processing software
Pleasant speaking voice and demeanor
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Great organization and time management skills
Willing to work a flexible schedule to accommodate patient and clinic needs (morning, evenings, weekends).
Accountabilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Consultations
Pre-screens all new patients booked based on intake form (e.g. pre-existing conditions, allergies, etc.)
Ensure all patients have completed the patient intake form, consent form and photos have been taken before the Physician sees the patient
Helping with patient flow by helping set up for procedures and obtaining items for the physician as needed
Follows the physician into patient rooms to document the encounter including the history, review of systems, and physical exam
Updates the patient chart to reflect any changes or corrections to the past medical history or social history as directed by the physician.
Completes the visit note in a timely manner, including importing all pertinent studies as directed by the physical
Documents procedures performed
Injectables
Ensures patients Neuromodulators and Injectables filler consent forms are signed and up to date
Ensure the correct storage of the Neuromodulators
Prepares Neuromodulators and Filler for physicians
Reviews pre and post care instructions and explains the procedure process to patients during the appointment
Ensure cold packs are readily available for patients post treatment
Office Tasks
Delegates appropriate work to the clinic co-ordinator such as booking appointments, faxing, putting away supplies, calling patients when late, turning on laser machines downstairs
Assisting various office procedures such as injectables, mole removal, cyst removal and laser treatments
Reviews pre and post care instructions and explains the procedure process to patients during the appointment
Performing general clerical duties (e.g. fax referrals)
Ensures all patient care areas are adequately stocked with unexpired supplies and medications
Answering the phones
Other duties as assigned
Typical Physical Demands
Position requires full range of body motion as well as manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Position may involve sitting, twisting, standing for prolonged periods, walking and bending forward. Employee will occasionally be asked to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds. Normal visual acuity and hearing are required. Employee may work irregular hours.

Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
