Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, with experience across various settings including hospitals, long-term care facilities, and assisted living environments. As an RPN, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality nursing care to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being while adhering to the highest standards of medical practice.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed. Conduct thorough patient assessments and monitor vital signs. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Assist with procedures such as IV infusion, catheterization, and wound care. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention. Support patients with activities of daily living, ensuring dignity and respect. Participate in triage and emergency response as needed. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in nursing.

Experience

Candidates should have experience or knowledge in the following areas:

Epic EMR systems and other electronic health record (EHR) systems. Critical care settings including ICU or Level I/II trauma centers. Long-term care, assisted living, or hospice environments. Medical office experience with familiarity in ICD-9/ICD-10 coding. Working with individuals with developmental disabilities, dementia, or Alzheimer's care. Experience in pediatrics, geriatrics, or home care settings. Proficiency in basic life support (BLS), phlebotomy, medication administration, and patient assessment techniques. Familiarity with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
