Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) are required to adhere to the scope of practice as defined by the CNO, which encompasses responsibilities such as overseeing the healthcare team and conducting wound care and resident assessments. It's important to note that the exact duties may vary slightly based on the facility and shift, and you will receive specific guidance during the site-specific orientation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

License:

Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).

Certifications:

CPR and First Aid Certification

Background Check:

Vulnerable Sector Check

Immunizations

Up-to-date immunizations including min 3 doses for COVID-19

Tests:

2 Step TB Tests & N95 Mask Fit Test

Physical Fitness:

The ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and assisting with residents' mobility.

Compassion and Empathy:

A genuine desire to help and care for elderly residents, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ethical Behavior:

Adherence to professional and ethical standards in caregiving, including respecting residents' rights and privacy.

Teamwork

: Collaboration skills to work effectively with nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.

The capacity to adapt to changing situations and schedules in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour

Schedule:

Evening shift Monday to Friday Morning shift Night shift On call Weekends as needed
