The Village of Winston Park located in Kitchener , Ontario has an exciting opportunity for a Full-time Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join their team.

As a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) joining our Village, you will:

• Maintain current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Have existing Heart Save Level of CPR.
• Understand the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the RPN role.
• Provide leadership to the Medication-Certified PSWs and neighbourhood teams.
• Oversee the medical needs of the residents in our Retirement Village.
• Provide safe administration of medication and treatments with a focus on accuracy, quality and meeting our residents\xe2\x80\x99 quality of life requests.
• Follow plans of care (or service plans) in accordance with the standards of the College of Nurses and are quickly able to identify and report any changes in the resident\xe2\x80\x99s well-being to the Wellness Coordinator or Village leadership team.
• Support and embrace our resident-centred social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of personal care to our residents.
• Work as a key member of our Village and neighbourhood multidisciplinary teams to understand residents\xe2\x80\x99 individual needs, and advocate for residents to actively participate in decisions about their care.
• Have proficient communication and computer skills in order to update care plans in the current system.

It would be an asset if our new Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) has:

• MDS credentials.
• Experience working with people living with Dementia.
• Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, legislation, regulations and best practices applicable to the retirement and long-term care sector (e.g. RAI processes and CIHI, supplies, equipment ordering, etc.)
