We are a pain management facility located in Mississauga, and are seeking a part-time/on-call Registered Practical Nurse

Hours of Work:

Wednesday, Friday & Saturday (Mandatory)

Other Days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday

Qualifications:

You must be registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario and be able to practice nursing without restrictions. A current B.C.L.S. (CPR) certificate is also required and must be maintained throughout your employment. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in nursing. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to develop Nurse-Patient relationships, and work within a collaborative and diverse interprofessional team. Recomended 1-2 years of experience in assisting with fluoroscopic treatments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Measure and record blood pressure, heart rate and V.A.S scores for patients Detailed patient intake and assessment skills, with documentation and reporting of all symptoms and history Carry out a comprehensive multi-system physical exam and record findings accurately Constantly monitor and assess patients to ensure appropriate nursing intervention(s) are provided Assist physicians when completing medical procedures. Communicate with patients, families and other physicians' offices Triage and coordinate referrals to the clinic Following up patients' test results over the phone Ensure adequate supplies are available in exam rooms Assisting with image-guided injections, such as ultrasound and fluoroscopy Document detailed and accurate nursing notes in the electronic health records system Occasional office administration work Keep up with day to day inventory Communicating with pharmacies and updatating presciptions as required.
