Petrolia Medical Associates is an affiliate physician group of the Central Lambton Family Health Team. The group provides primary health care to a rostered population of patients in rural Lambton County.
Position Summary:
Operating within his/her full scope of practice, the RPN/RN will support busy physician practices located in the building.

Triaging - via telephone and in person
Maintaining flow of physician schedules to patients of all ages
Looking ahead in both physician schedules to ensure coordination
Ordering, tracking and maintaining vaccine supply and immunization refrigerator
Administration of injections and vaccines
Wound care dressings
Snellen Chart eye exams
Tracking use and ordering medical supplies
Urine testing and labelling specimens / biopsies to be sent to lab
Assist with biopsies, procedures and assessments
Ear flushes, obtaining vitals, removal of sutures
Cleaning, disinfection and stocking of exam rooms
Coding procedures for billing
Providing patient education
Communicating results and/or directions to patients on behalf of the physicians
When certified: pap tests, STI testing, breast exams

Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) in good standing as a RPN or RN is required
Basic CPR certification
Minimum of 2 years nursing experience
Prior primary care experience an asset
Knowledge of Ontario Immunization Schedule
Fully vaccinated for Covid 19 (two doses)
