Position Summary
Trenton Memorial Hospital (TMH) is located in Quinte West, along the beautiful Bay of Quinte. Home to Canada's largest military air base, 8 Wing Trenton, this area boasts exceptional beaches and nature trails, and offers boating, fishing, festivals, and community events that will enrich your family life. Adjacent to the beautiful communities of Belleville, Brighton, Prince Edward and Hastings Counties, Quinte West has so much to offer.
Trenton Memorial Hospital provides 24/7 emergency services, has a bustling inpatient unit for acute medical patients, performs an array of day surgery procedures and is the regional center for ophthalmology. TMH also provides a range of outpatient clinical and diagnostic services including cardiology, pulmonary function testing, diabetes education and management, medical day clinic, mammography, CT, X-ray and laser light urology.

Required
Current Certificate of Registration in good standing, or eligible for registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Current CPR or BCLS certificate.
A minimum of 2 years recent surgical or medical nursing within the last 3 years.
Post Graduate Operating Room Certificate in OR nursing.
Capable of coping in a physically demanding workload.
Duties
Utilizes the Nursing Process in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care.
Provides pre-operative and post-operative teaching to patients & families as required.
Performs acts requiring specialized knowledge, skills and judgment in assessing health needs and in planning, administering and evaluating patient care in the surgical environment.
Responsible to work collaboratively with other members of the health care team who contribute to the provision of patient care.
Maintains nursing records.
Participates in QI programs to ensure a high level of patient care.
Other duties as assigned.
