Job Description

ConnectWell Community Health is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), 35 hrs/week, ongoing. This position is part of the Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) telemedicine program and provides a comprehensive benefit package, including HOOPP (Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan).

Position Summary:

The RPN provides nursing care and support to the health of individuals, families and the community of ConnectWell Community Health. The RPN is an important member of the inter-professional care team and practices nursing within a team environment to their full scope of practice. A RPN works in stable circumstances where there is predictability in the client's care requirements and health outcomes, and where there is a limited risk for negative outcomes associated with the nursing care provided.

Qualifications:



Registered Practical Nursing Diploma Current and unrestricted registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario Three to five years of nursing experience; experience in primary care an asset Excellent health assessment and clinical skills Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of an inter-disciplinary team Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills Experience and understanding of rural communities and rural health needs Basic understanding of the field of telemedicine, or a willingness to learn Use of a vehicle and valid Driver's license
