Your Role:
As a
Registered Practical Nurse
, you will play a vital role in supervising and directing personal support staff while delivering hands-on clinical care to residents. With empathy and skill, you'll help residents with their activities of daily living and collaborate with the wider care team to ensure the highest quality outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Assess and monitor resident health needs and contribute to Care Plan development
Administer medications and perform clinical procedures per regulatory standards
Supervise and support PSWs in delivering respectful, person-centered care
Foster open communication within the care team, residents, and their families
Promote interdepartmental collaboration and efficient use of resources
Maintain accurate documentation of care procedures and observations
Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities
Qualifications:
Current registration as an RPN in good standing with the
College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
Demonstrated knowledge of
medication administration best practices
Experience in geriatric, retirement, or long-term care nursing considered a strong asset
Available for varied shifts including
weekends, holidays, and call-ins
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Team-oriented with a resident-first mindset
