Job Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and be skilled in various nursing environments, including nursing homes, hospitals, and home care settings. As an RPN, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients of all ages, including pediatrics and seniors. Your expertise in medication administration, phlebotomy, and medical terminology will be essential in ensuring the well-being of our patients.

Duties



Deliver exceptional patient care by assessing patient needs and developing individualized care plans. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed while monitoring patients for side effects or complications. Perform phlebotomy and laboratory tests as required, ensuring accurate documentation of results. Provide support in acute care settings, including pain management and case management for patients with complex health needs. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients in various settings such as assisted living facilities, hospice care, and home care. Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems such as Epic or Cerner. Educate patients and their families on health management, medication usage, and disease prevention strategies. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, promoting a safe environment for both patients and staff.

Requirements



Valid Registered Practical Nurse license with relevant nursing experience. Experience in nursing home or hospital settings is preferred; familiarity with acute care is a plus. Knowledge of dementia care practices and experience working with children is advantageous. Proficiency in medical terminology and experience with medication administration protocols. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Previous experience with senior care or hospice care is beneficial. Familiarity with laboratory procedures and pain management techniques is desirable.
