Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed. Monitor and assess patients' health status, documenting any changes in their condition. Assist in developing and implementing individualized care plans based on patient needs. Collaborate with physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare staff to coordinate patient care. Educate patients and their families about health management, medication administration, and disease prevention. Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems such as Epic or Cerner. Perform phlebotomy and laboratory tests as needed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and provide emotional support during challenging times.

Skills

Nursing home experience is preferred for understanding geriatric care dynamics. Hospital experience in acute care settings is highly desirable for managing critical situations. Knowledge of dementia care practices to support patients with cognitive impairments effectively. Experience in pediatrics for providing specialized care to children. Home care experience is beneficial for delivering personalized patient support in non-institutional settings. Proficiency in patient care techniques and nursing fundamentals is essential. Familiarity with medical terminology to communicate effectively within the healthcare team. Competence in medication administration protocols to ensure patient safety. Experience with electronic health record systems such as Epic or Cerner enhances documentation accuracy. Medical office experience can provide valuable insights into administrative aspects of nursing roles. Assisted living experience contributes to understanding the needs of seniors in community settings. Experience with children is advantageous for those working in pediatric environments. Knowledge of senior care practices ensures quality support for elderly patients. Familiarity with hospice care principles aids in providing compassionate end-of-life support. Laboratory experience supports effective sample collection and testing processes. Skills in pain management are crucial for enhancing patient comfort during treatment processes. Case management abilities facilitate coordinated care across multiple services and providers.
