Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, with experience in various settings such as nursing homes, hospitals, and home care. The RPN will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being while adhering to established protocols and standards.

Duties

Deliver direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed. Monitor patients' health status and report any changes to the healthcare team. Assist with daily living activities and provide emotional support to patients and their families. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using electronic health record systems such as Epic or Cerner. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Conduct phlebotomy procedures and manage laboratory tests as required. Provide specialized care for patients with conditions such as dementia, pediatrics, hospice needs, or pain management. Educate patients and families on health management, medication administration, and treatment plans. Ensure compliance with safety standards and infection control protocols.

Requirements

Valid Registered Practical Nurse license in good standing. Previous experience in nursing home, hospital, or acute care settings is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology and case management practices. Experience in dementia care, pediatrics, senior care, or hospice care is a plus. Strong skills in patient assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. Proficiency in using electronic health record systems (Epic or Cerner) is desirable but not mandatory. Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 44 per week
