For over 50 years, we have been a trusted part of the community, offering a comprehensive continuum of care that includes: Long-Term Care, A Boutique Retirement Residence, An Adult Day Program.
Currently, Grove Park Home is undergoing an exciting multi-year redevelopment project. While we are temporarily operating as a 113-bed long-term care facility during this phase, the project will ultimately expand our capacity to 145 long-term care beds, allowing us to serve even more individuals in need.

Under the direction of Director of Care, this position will be responsible for the efficient operation of a resident focused care team. Ensuring that the team functions within the framework of continuous quality improvement and in a manner that is consistent with GROVE PARK HOME's Mission, Service Philosophy, Values, policies and procedures, and other applicable regulations and guidelines.
The Temporary Full-Time RPN will provide nursing care and support across multiple units, ensuring continuity of care in the absence of scheduled staff. This role includes medication administration, resident assessments, wound care, and supporting RNs in clinical duties. When not covering vacant shifts, the RPN will focus on specific nursing tasks (see key responsibilities below) such as skin and wound assessments, quarterly assessments, vital signs coding, and other designated responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct Resident Care & Medication Administration/Float & Sick Call Coverage
Provide coverage across units as needed to support staffing shortages.
Assist with various unit needs, medication administration, wound care, and resident assessments as required.
Clinical Assessments & Documentation:
Conduct and document quarterly assessments and routine evaluations, MDS coding, closely working with RAI coordinator for additional support
Supporting the RN & Interdisciplinary Team:
Assist the RN with clinical tasks such as lab follow-ups, care plan updates, and admission assessments.
Participate in care conferences and interdisciplinary meetings as needed.
Quality Improvement & Compliance:
Assist with audits, incident reporting, and risk management initiatives.
Support compliance with Ministry of Health regulations and accreditation standards.
Additional Duties as Assigned including:
Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
Engage in continuous professional development and attend mandatory training.
Qualifications:
Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
Graduation from an accredited Administration of Medication Course
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills including counseling, conflict management, and problem solving
Long Term Care experience with required job tasks
