The RPN is responsible for providing nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting, promoting health, wellness and quality of life, while working collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team. The RPN will work within the scope of their practice and in accordance with the standards and regulations of the College of Nurses of their province.
Key Responsibilities:
Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with the facility's policies and procedures.
Assessing residents' health and wellbeing and reporting any changes to the Charge Nurse or Director of Nursing.
Providing basic nursing care, such as wound care, catheterization, and administering oxygen therapy.
Maintaining accurate documentation of residents' care and progress in their medical record.
Assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Communicating effectively with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
Participating in care conferences and collaborating with other members of the team to develop care plans.
Maintaining a safe and clean environment for residents, including infection prevention and control practices.
Participating in continuing education opportunities to maintain and enhance nursing knowledge and skills.
Performing other duties as assigned by the Charge Nurse or Director of Nursing.

Pay: $37.00-$45.00 per hour
