Key Qualifications:
Registered in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) or currently meet the eligibility criteria to register in good standing in the Temporary Class or General Class with the CNO.
Able to function to the full scope of practice as per CNO
Medication Certificate and experience with administration of medication within the last year required
Previous experience in working with treatment approaches required for a Oncology/Palliative Care population
Patient physical assessment course preferred
Experience with patient centred and partnership care models
Must have effective interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem solving skills
Reliable and flexible individual who is willing to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team environment
Positive attendance and work record essential
Position Summary:
Working as a member of an interdisciplinary team to ensure high quality care
Responsible for the provision of nursing care, teaching and coaching to patients and their families
Responsible and accountable for the provision of nursing care in accordance with the standards of nursing practice and THP Best Practice Protocols
