We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care across various settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, and outpatient clinics. This role requires excellent clinical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.

Duties


As a Registered Practical Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

Conducting patient assessments and developing individualized care plans Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians Monitoring patient vital signs and reporting any changes in condition Assisting with diagnostic evaluations and medical procedures Providing education and support to patients and their families regarding health management Maintaining accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care Supporting patients with activities of daily living and promoting their overall well-being Engaging in infection control practices and maintaining a safe environment for patients

Qualifications


To be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

Valid Registered Practical Nurse license in the state of practice Experience in critical care, long-term care, or assisted living environments is preferred Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth Knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems is advantageous Familiarity with various nursing specialties including geriatrics, pediatrics, hospice care, and emergency medicine is beneficial Strong skills in patient assessment, medication administration, phlebotomy, IV insertion, and catheter care Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia-related conditions such as Alzheimer's disease Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team-oriented environment
