The Registered Pharmacy Technician position is responsible for ensuring accuracy of technical prescriptions after the therapeutic accuracy is checked by a pharmacist, ensuring accuracy of data-entry into Kroll as well as educating and training patients and caregivers on common devices.

Additionally, you will need to work very closely with team members to ensure we deliver world class service to complement our best in class pharmacy service operations.

Responsibilities

Handle a weekly average of medication bags. Compound non-sterile and sterile preparations. Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient care and medication management. Educate and train care givers and staff on common devices. Utilize KROLL SOFTWARE daily for data entry. Ensure timely completion of blister packs. Perform accurate bin checks. Accurately perform Clozaril monitoring, ensuring proper documentation for every Clozaril dispensed. Maintain high billing accuracy for OHIP + billing, private/public insurance, no substitution, correct LU code, EAP, and documented cash approvals.

Qualification

Experience:

1+ years of Kroll experience, experience using PacVision is an asset

Certification:

Registration and good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists for at least 1 year.

Insurance:

Maintain Personal Professional Liability Insurance coverage.

Skills:

Strong computer skills, problem-solving skills, flexibility, resourcefulness, and effective decision-making.

Communication:

Strong communication skills and ability to forge partnerships with team members.

Ability to commute/relocate:

Scarborough, ON M1B 5N6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
